Help us bring our bold new production to life!
During Covid lockdowns, on a daily one-hour walk around Woolwich Common, Marrianne had ideas for three fully-staged opera productions: Verdi's Macbeth, Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos and Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel. An opportunity to cover Abigaille in Verdi's Nabucco led to Uncovered Opera Company's formation and now with five productions, some staged / some concert and over twenty lunchtime recitals under their belt - it is time!
What's next?
Please help us bring this bold opera to life! Marrianne self-funded Nabucco and Ariadne/der Rosenkavalier and with the support of Rachel Carter and Sam Edmonds - Verdi's Don Carlo. Greenwich Council awarded a grant in 2022 that paid for Macbeth... We are awaiting news of funding from other sources - but have now launched a Go Fund Me to mitigate this and to be able to bring it to life no matter what the outcome. If we raise enough we will give 5 performances with reduced orchestra - if we need to scale down we will - but we are aiming big! Click on the Hänsel und Gretel poster to find out how you can help!
