Buy your tickets in advance
If you know that you will definitely be coming next year to watch the performances between 14th February and 22nd February 2026 - send an email with the number of tickets to Hänsel und Gretel in the subject line and the name of the person you are coming to support in the body of the email or a general expression to come to a show to uncoveredopera@gmail.com - one of the team will then get back to you with a secure link with the bank details to buy your tickets and secure your spot. This allows us a cash flow upfront to pay for rehearsal space etc. There will be a £5 discount on the ticket price so £20 instead of £25.
Current planning for show dates - times TBC and subject to change. The performances will be inbetween 14th and 22nd February though!

Come and support a lunchtime recital and give to the retiring collection
There are three lunchtime recitals in St Paul's the Actors Church in Covent Garden before Christmas and all are free to attend: but we hold a retiring collection at the end which enables us to cover the costs and anything else raised will go to the production. You will get to hear some amazing music, and support our singers ahead of show day as well as contributing to the production!

A Gritty Urban Fairy Tale
Set on the neon-lit streets of a sprawling modern city, our reimagined Hänsel und Gretel transforms the classic opera into a dream-like urban retelling. Two rebellious teens navigate alleyways, concrete jungles, and a mysterious 24-hour vape-sweet shop run by the magnetic Gingerbread Hexe.
It’s a story of hunger, temptation, and identity, wrapped in vapor clouds and glittering illusions—a spectacle that challenges the traditional setting, whilst still respecting its context.
